Dr. Remi Piet

Senior Director and Leader of the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure practice at Americas Market Intelligence.

Remi Piet leads political risk analysis and social license to operate strategy definition engagements at AMI. Remi has worked on projects in Latin America, Asia and Europe and has taught at several universities, including the University of Miami, HEC (Paris) and the University of Qatar. He has traveled, taught and worked in 72 countries, including 24 in the Americas and the Caribbean.

Remi is the author of several publications and books, including "Managing mining risk in Latin America" in 2018 and "Energy security and environmental sustainability in the Western Hemisphere" in 2017.

Remi received a doctorate in political economy from the University of Miami, an MBA and a Masters in International Development from Universite Laval (Canada) and a Masters degree in economics for developing and transition countries from Universite La Sorbonne, Paris.
