The CCA-Alberta’s aim is to foster business linkages between Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. As part of its outreach and commitment to create greater awareness of Latin America and the Caribbean, the CCA-Alberta established the essay prize to promote the study of this region in both the Faculty of Arts (formerly Faculty of Social Sciences) and the Haskayne School of Business, at the University of Calgary.
The prize is awarded, annually, to the best undergraduate essay on Latin America in the areas of economics, political economy, trade, politics and international relations.
